We will learn about the origin and interesting history of the word dessert, which emerged over 300 years ago, and how it has evolved over time. Students will discuss fun traditions and superstitions surrounding desserts, such as making gingerbread houses during Christmas and freezing the top of your wedding cake to eat a year later.
