Your Right to Play: Write Like a Playwright [Virtual]

Friends, students, citizens, lend me your ears! In this class you will have fun learning to write an original play. We’ll study famous playwrights including Henry Miller, Lucy Prebble, Tennessee Williams, Neil Simon, Tony Kushner, and Lorraine Hansberry. We’ll explore genres such as mystery, science-fiction, tragedy, comedy, adventure, and more. You will compose your own pieces using writing elements such as characters, plot, setting, conflict, and resolution. The last class features the Showcase where you will perform in an original play!
