Hollywood History: Apollo 13 and the Sound of Music [ONLINE]

Do you enjoy history and movies? Then join us at the Second Installment in the series of Fun with History: Hollywood and History courses where we will study 2 popular movies that are based on true stories: Apollo 13 and The Sound of Music. We will discuss how accurately those films represented actual historical incidents. For each class we will watch sections of one of those movies and afterwards discuss what really happened. We will also enjoy photos of the true stories that these movies are based on. The class will be informative and fun. Students are encouraged to enjoy popcorn, or another snack of their choosing, to munch during the movie watching. Movies have a way of bringing history to life for all of us while enjoying ourselves. Having the discussions afterwards will also help us to discern historical fact from fiction.
