Description

Instructor: Kaelin Rubenzer

Want to know the best hiking and swimming spots around Austin that are open during Covid? Have you wondered what
plants and seemingly delicious- looking wild berries to avoid? Want to know expert tactics to survive a bear encounter
and how to recognize common poisonous snakes? Come to know the beautiful and expansive world of the outdoors and
everything within it. Students will get the scoop on Austin’s best socially-distant outdoor activities, road trip ideas, how to
prepare for camping and backpacking trips, and learn tips and tricks to get the most out of nature. A variety of guest
speakers will share their own fun anecdotes and discuss different adaptive and inclusive outdoor activities.
